IWD Pricing

Costs and engagement details

Our pricing model differs for each project undertaken on the basis of your requirement. For your convenience, IWD offers 2 different pricing options:

  • Full Time Equivalent (FTE)
  • Time and Material (T&M)

Full Time Equivalent (FTE)

IWD provides .NET software engineers for an economical monthly rate card with no hidden costs. You pay for the engineer who will work for you for 160 hours a month, starting as low as $3250* per month. (*conditions apply)

The arrangement works in a way allows the client to hire one engineer or a team of engineers to work as the extension of the customer's software engineering facility. Once the contracts are signed, the work time of the software engineer(s) is reserved for the customer.

We also have a limited time engagement option if you'd like to try us out before you sign on for a longer term contract. All software engineers you hire on an FTE arrangement are bound by contract to follow the company's policies regarding Intellectual Property, security, leave and other aspects that are related to and may affect your work.

Advantages of FTE arrangement are:

1. Highly flexible – Can follow any development life cycle
2. Individual service components can be offered e.g. Analysis, Programming etc...
3. Dedicated team – Knowledge management
4. Lowest possible cost
5. Client involvement is high

This is a least cost option hence you will have budget predictability and IP ownership. The dedicated team/individual working for you is highly flexible i.e. they can start with any level of expertise on the application. This places a high amount of control in your hands.

You can derive a higher ROI from FTE by having a competent Project/IT Manager and a clear software requirement specification document at your side.

Here’s what we will do to ensure the provision of our best resources:

  • Before signing up, you can review the resumes of our engineers
  • We will send you our Non Disclosure Agreement prior to receiving your RFP document
  • We provide you with references from past / present clients that can verify our company’s capabilities

Time and Material (T&M)

This arrangement is adopted when the time of a project cannot be estimated in advance and there is a possibility that scope of the project will vary over time. The salient features of T&M arrangement are:

  • Single Standard rate – X $/hr – irrespective of the type of resource used
  • Follows typical SDLC timelines (10 -15% -- Analysis, 10 - 15% -- Project Management, 10 - 15% -- User Interface, 40% -- Coding, 10% - 15% -- Testing)
  • Increased client involvement
  • IP is retained by the client

Advantages of this arrangement are that client has increased control over project implementation. In addition, this arrangement is highly flexible. Our business analysis team will be involved but it will turn out to be less expensive. Once the contracts are signed then we will bill you monthly or bi-weekly as decided in the contracts.

Billing Details

The billing period and the pricing for our .NET Software Engineers will be agreed upon in at the agreement stage. Here are some details as to how you can go about making the payments.

How and Where to Pay: We will provide the information so that you can wire transfer payments to our bank. Wiring is the normal means by which most businesses make their payments.

International Monetary Conversions: Money transferred into an American or European bank must be converted into the correct Dollar or Euro amount agreed upon. (Fluctuating exchange rates can result in a deficit in the amount transferred.)

Invoice Schedule: We send invoices by e-mail on or near the 1st and 15th of each month.

Payment Schedule: We appreciate payments to be made within the billing period as agreed upon in the agreement. Also, notification on the day that the payment was wired will be appropriate.

A typical bank transfer from the US and Europe: IWD has accounts with a leading Indian bank that in turn has accounts with major banks in US and Europe. When a client transfers funds from his bank, it does not get transferred directly to our bank in India. Funds first get transferred to the Indian bank account (held with major banks), and further gets transferred to our bank in Bangalore.
